The last time Maggie Campbell and Alexandra Blake worked together, they both received two-week suspensions. This time...it's worse.
Ice begins when a boy is kidnapped from a London park and Detective Inspectors Alex Blake and Maggie Campbell are brought together to work on the case. While their goal is the same, their work ethics are not. Intelligent, perceptive and at times disobedient, Alex Blake does what she believes it takes to do her job. Maggie Campbell has a slightly different approach. She believes that rule books were written for a reason.
Unexpectedly, their dynamics mesh, but when her feelings for Alex become stronger than she wants to admit, Maggie provokes the worst in Alex to ensure that they will never be partners again.
Three years later, fate brings them together again. Their assignment is simple, but a plane crash gets in their way. Now, in the middle of a blizzard, they have to try to survive...and fight the feelings that refuse to die.

Awesome book, great adventure story
I have read this book twice and will read it again. The first time was a rush to see if the couple survive and get safely home. The second reading was to enjoy the story. In both cases I could not put it down. The prose and dialogue is great. There is a lot of humor too. The text flows beautifully. I am sure readers will love the way the main characters personalities are revealed. These tough DI's have soft centers.

Well-written, good plot, well-defined characters...
My first book by the author and I was impressed. I liked the characters, they were fleshed out and could stand alone, they were honest, and funny when needed. You could see how they would fall in love and when it came down to expressing how they feel about one another they did it. They had a conversation like sensible people do, granted it took a little while, because they were both stubborn as hell at times, but they got there. Definitely a page turner, I could not put it down, I brought it this afternoon and finished it the same day. Worth the 4 bucks and a nice little escape. The epilogue was sweet and the last paragraph melts your heart. Read it and find out!

Engaging, entertaining and worth the price!
It has been quite a while since I encountered a book that was interesting and engaging enough to completely read in one day. This book has an interesting premise for bringing two characters together and building the plot and action in an appealing and exciting way. The author knows how to write a good love story that holds your interest and makes you want it to continue even after it is all over. I look forward to future books from this writer and highly recommend this if you are looking for a well thought out and pleasing read.
